.:: The Global Trust Center in 2013
The Global Trust Center has been partly reorganised and consolidated in recent years. Key for the full operationality of the International Council is the establishment of a comprehensive funding mechanism that is fully compatible with the integrity and independence of the organisation. In recent years, the GTC has worked closely with and supported the operations of GINI-SA, a support action with the European Commission which developed a strategy and roadmap for putting in place a multi-corner model for viable operators that service users, relying parties and data bases, on conditions that are compatible with user-control over identities and personal information. The next stage of this agenda will, among other things, incorpate seminar activity at the World Economic Forum in 2014 and pioneering pilot projects in international markets and individual countries, both in Europe and in other regions. It is essential to cherish the rise of global solutions engaging cross-regional networks, public-private partnership and appropriate supportive standardisation work by international organisations, such as the International Telecom Union (ITU) in Geneva.
